The Boeing/Saab T-7 Red Hawk is an American/Swedish advanced jet trainer developed by Boeing Defense Space & Security in partnership with Saab Group. It was selected by the United States Air Force as the winner of the T-X program to replace the Northrop T-38 Talon.

The aircraft for X-Plane features the TX prototype, T-7A advanced trainer and T-7N Navy versions, each sporting a highly detailed 3D model with PBR textures, custom animations and a weapons loadout option.

Other highlights include a 'Roll to See' dynamic pilot camera based on pitch, roll and g- forces, an automatic ground collision avoidance system and the ability to fly from the front or aft cockpit.

The cockpit sports a large format glass panel with an embedded G1000 moving map.

The cockpit is based on screenshots of the prototype T-X with a Head-Up Display, a 32-point Up Front Controller (UFC) touchscreen and a large format glass panel with an embedded G1000 colour moving map.

Other highlights include custom FMOD sounds, particle effects and an animated ejection sequence. It is also Track-IR and VR-compatible and features AviTab tablet integration.

The package is available on x-plane.org for $36.00 (approx £29). Current X-Plane 11 customers can upgrade to the X-Plane 12 version for free.
