TAP Air Portugal has inaugurated four new routes from its Lisbon hub to Agadir and Oujda in Morocco and Monastir and Djerba in Tunisia, to take advantage of increased passenger demand.
The new routes are the airline’s first into Tunisia and will add to existing connections in Morocco with Casablanca, Marrakesh and Tangier already being served from the Portuguese capital.
Christine Ourmières-Widener, the airline’s CEO, said: “The launch of these routes is part of TAP's recovery plan and the progressive revival and growth of its activity, with the reinforcement of the company's position in North Africa, expanding its offer to four important tourist destinations in the region that have high demand in all of Europe.”
To Tunisia, the airline will fly twice weekly with one weekly connection to Monastir on Friday and on Sunday the airline will depart to Djerba.
The Morocco rotations will depart for Agadir four times weekly on Monday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday and Oujda will be connected on Saturday and Sunday.
To give customers some peace of mind, TAP will allow customers to change their booking for free for flights purchased up to July 31.
