Tribute to rocket-assisted take-off Ercoupe!

California’s March Field Air Museum has unveiled Ercoupe 415C N2640H. March Field Air MuseumThe 1946-built machine has been painted to represent NC28655 – the first ‘rocket-assisted’ fixed-wing aircraft in the US, which undertook a Jet Assisted Take-Off trial at March Field in the hands of Capt Homer Boushey Jr on August 12, 1941.
