Typhoons begin Southern Air Policing mission

THE ROYAL Air Force’s No 3 (Fighter) Squadron has deployed a detachment to Romania for a fourmonth mission to support NATO’s Southern Air Policing mission. Four Typhoons departed RAF Coningsby, Lincolnshire and arrived at Mihail Kogălniceanu air base on April 24. The detachment includes around 150 support personnel.
