Ukraine crisis: Antonov An-225 reportedly destroyed

One of the largest aircraft ever built, the Antonov An-225 Mriya has been destroyed by Russian forces, according to Ukrainian officials. The six-engine aircraft was positioned at Hostomel Airport on the outskirts of Kyiv and was reportedly destroyed by fire during intense fighting amid Russia's invasion of Ukraine. After previously being reported safe by Antonov Airlines' chief pilot on February 24, the country's foreign minister, Dmytro Kuleba, revealed that Russia "may have destroyed our Mriya". The Antonov An-225 was first
