US stops delivery of F-35 parts to Turkey
THE PENTAGON has announced that US industry will stop providing F-35A components to Turkey in response to Ankara’s continued efforts to procure S-400 surface-to-air missile systems from Russia. After months of threats to sanction Turkey’s acquisition of the Lightning II, Washington has confirmed that no further parts or manuals will be delivered onto Turkish territory. Meanwhile, however, deliveries of Türk Hava Kuvvetleri (THK, Turkish Air Force) F-35As to Luke Air Force Base, Arizona, have continued. Four jets are now involved
