USAF outlines plan for F-15E Strike Eagles to leave Lakenheath

The US Air Force has stated that it wants to remove the fleet of Boeing F-15E Strike Eagles from the 48th Fighter Wing at RAF Lakenheath. The plan was discussed on May 20, 2025 during the hearing on the Posture of the Department of the Air Force in Review of the Defense Authorization Request for Fiscal Year 2026, held by the Senate Armed Services Committee.
