USAF stealth bomber fleet grounded after major B-2A incident at Whiteman
A US Air Force (USAF)-operated Northrop Grumman B-2A Spirit stealth bomber was involved in an incident on December 10 that caused damage to both the aircraft and the runway at its home airfield, Whiteman Air Force Base (AFB) in Missouri. The aircraft involved was 82-1068 ‘WM’ Spirit of New York, operated by the 509th Bomb Wing’s (BW’s) 13th Bomb Squadron (BS) ‘Fear the Reaper’.
