USMC begins transition to the CH-53K
The US Marine Corps’ (USMC’s) Marine Heavy Helicopter Squadron 461 (HMH-461) held a redesignation ceremony at Marine Corps Air Station New River, North Carolina, on January 24, marking the service’s first transition of a fleet squadron from the Sikorsky CH-53E Super Stallion to the CH-53K King Stallion.
