De Havilland DH.100 Vampire FB.6 J-1197 (HB-RVN) which is maintained in airworthy condition, is currently undergoing an extensive inspection and maintenance at the Altenrhein Fliegermuseum in Switzerland.
The aircraft, now 70 years old, was delivered to the Swiss Air Force in 1952. After being retired from service in 1991 it was acquired by private owner Eric Chardonnens two years later. It has been based at the museum since 2018. WITH THANKS TO ROD WEALE
