VRM-40 welcomes first CMV-22B to Norfolk
The first US Navy-operated CMV-22B Osprey carrier onboard delivery (COD) aircraft for the US Atlantic Fleet arrived at Naval Station Norfolk’s Chambers Field in Virginia on April 5.The Osprey (169461/‘41’) will be assigned to Fleet Logistics Multi-Mission Squadron 40 (VRM-40) ‘Mighty Bison’, which was established at NAS North Island, California – the home of the unit’s sister squadron, VRM-30 ‘Titans’, and the CMV-22B’s Fleet Replacement Squadron (FRS), VRM-50 ‘Sunhawks’ – in March 2022.
