Wellesbourne Vulcan XM655 runs off runway

Avro Vulcan B.2 XM655 was involved in a taxiing incident at Wellesbourne on September 16.

It has been noted that Avro Vulcan B.2 XM655 departed the runway at Wellesbourne Mountford Airfield on September 16 2022 while undertaking a fast taxi in preparation for an upcoming public event at the Warwickshire airfield. The crew are believed to be unhurt - although this and the extent of any damage to the aircraft had not been confirmed at the time of writing.

As a result of this unfortunate incident, the event planned for this coming Sunday (September 18) has now reportedly been cancelled. All at Key.Aero send our best wishes to the hard-working and dedicated team behind XM655.

More information is expected in the coming hours.

**UPDATE** - XM655 Maintenance and Preservation Society provided an update on September 20.
