Wizz Air reveals 2021 traffic figures
Hungarian low-cost airline, Wizz Air carried nearly 22 million passengers last year, an increase of around 30% on 2020’s figures. In December alone, the operator welcomed 2.6 million travellers onto its jets, up from the 665,000 it handled in the same month during 2020. Load factors across the group’s subsidiaries remained stable at around 75%, despite the myriad of restrictions imposed by governments across Europe in response to the pandemic and in recent months as a result of the Omicron
