World Microlight Championships 2024
Between 27 July and 3 August the airfield at Deenethorpe hosted the 18th Federation Aeronautique Internationale (FAI) World Microlight Championships 2024. The annual event opened on 27 July with the firing of a towed cannon. By 28 July a total of 57 aircraft had been noted at the Northamptonshire airfield, flown by 87 pilots and co-pilots from around a dozen nations. Teams from Croatia, the Czech Republic, France, Germany, Hungary, India, Lithuania, Poland, Slovakia, Spain, Ukraine and the United Kingdom
