X-Plane 12 arrives in Brisbane

Orbx has announced that YBBN Brisbane Airport is now available for X-Plane 12.

Serving as the primary international airport in Queensland over 30 airlines fly to 80 destinations from Brisbane, from domestic airports to international routes in Asia and the Americas. The largest operator is Qantas, with 700 scheduled flights a week.

Developed by Orbx’s in-house team, the airport for X-Plane 12 sports the latest specs and techniques, including PBR (Physically Based Rendering) effects, realistic models with detailed textures and custom ground polygons.

​Orbx releases Brisbane for X-Plane 12

The package is based on the current airport Layout for 2022 with accurate taxiways and airport buildings, including the new parallel runway (01L/19R) that opened in July 2020. Other highlights include custom SAM jetways, as well as T-style jetways and VDGS (Visual Docking Guidance System) integration, animated radar systems and dynamic night lighting.

Orbx releases Brisbane for  X-Plane 12

Over 60km² of the surrounding area is covered with handcrafted mesh, 15cm orthophotos as well as hundreds of hand-placed buildings, autogen and animated vehicle traffic. Brisbane Airport is available on OrbxDirect for AUD$28.96 (approx £16.10).

Previous owners of YBBN for X-Plane 11 can obtain the X-Plane 12 version free of charge.
