Various displays will illustrate how the museum has developed across 50 years, and members of the museum’s open cockpit team will be on hand to give visitors the opportunity to look inside our aircraft; (a small additional charge will be made for aircraft access).
An outdoor Aeroboot/Aerojumble event will run alongside the Anniversary Gala, with sellers from across the UK expected to attend.

Yealands Classic Fighters Omaka is an action-packed family-friendly event and in 2023 it will be held over Easter Weekend, 7th – 9th of April.

This magical five-day festival promises to be fun for the whole family, with glorious balloons filling the wonderful Wairarapa skies. The absolute highlight is the Night Glow, on Saturday 8th April, with five hours of action-packed entertainment for the whole family.

The weekend will see the area surrounding Weston Airfield’s restored WW2 era Control Tower and Pilots Block brought to life by re-enactors, living history camps and historic military vehicles from around the country

From its humble beginnings in 1974 as a fly-in for sport aviation enthusiasts, the SUN ‘n FUN Aerospace Expo has grown into one of the largest and most successful aviation events. Hundreds of aircraft showcased in all shapes and sizes with dedicated areas for the likes of Vintage, Homebuilt, Aerobatic, Warbird, Jet, and Light Sport. There are daily and night airshows that feature displays from dozens of military and civilian performers.
