The event webpage states: “Bidford Airfield is a delightful grass strip in the shadow of the Cotswolds and is home to the Bidford Gliding and Flying Club. This year on the 28th of May, the club is holding its annual Classic Wings and Wheels event. There will be a dedicated area of the Airfield for Classic Cars and a similar fenced off area for visiting and resident aircraft. We are pleased to confirm that a Rich Goodwin air display will be taking place.”

It will include a traditional, approximately five-hour, continuous block of flight demonstrations. It will of course feature numerous historic aircraft, including those with red bulls on the fuselage…several demonstrations in the programme will present different concepts of acrobatics. There will be flights on historical biplanes, on the legend of the Czechoslovak construction school, modern aerobatic specials, a helicopter and a certain form of acrobatics will be presented by a solo demonstration of the military Gripen. In this block, we also managed to arrange a demonstration with the renowned Lithuanian acrobat and show pilot Jurgis Kairys, whose performance accompanied by a huge smoke trail is always a decoration of important airshows. However, such names as Martin Å onka, Petr Kopfstein or the legendary Petr Jirmus and others will not be missing in the sky. The audience will really have something to watch. But that won’t be all….”

Various activities are on the program (signing sessions, parade of old motorcycles and cars, historical reconstruction troops, etc.). The afternoon is specially dedicated to in-flight presentations with a show lasting more than 5 hours including a hundred aircraft flying in the sky of Essonne. The show unfolds through thematic tableaux the history of aeronautics, from the time of the pioneers to the latest generation aircraft, civil and military.”
