The EAA website says: “The World’s Greatest Aviation Celebration® has it all when it comes to aircraft. Warbirds. Vintage. Homebuilts. Ultralights. Some you would normally find in a hangar at your local airport, others so unique they are the only one of their kind. You name it, there’s likely an example of it at Oshkosh. For many, arriving at Oshkosh is a rite of passage that can only be satisfied by being one of the more than 10,000 aircraft flying in, landing at what becomes the busiest airport in the world.”
The USAF says: “The 2023 Arctic Lightning Airshow will include aerial and ground performances celebrating the 50-year anniversary of women in military airpower. This yearâs airshow features performances from the US Air Force Air Combat Command F-35 demonstration team, US Air Force F-16 Pacific Air Force demonstration team, US Special Operations Command Para-Commandos, joint forces demonstration from the US Air Force and US Army and more.”
The organiser’s say the airshow: “features the US Air Force Thunderbirds as its marquee act. Our 2023 JBLM Airshow & Warrior Expo team has compiled an all-star lineup of capabilities which present the full scope and breadth of our nationâs air and ground forces, past and present.”
The themes this year for RIAT are ’50 Years F-16′, ‘NATO 75th Anniversary’, ‘100th Anniversary of the Royal Canadian Air Force’ and ‘Pushing the boundaries in Air and Space’. Regarding the final one in the list the RIAT website states: “Our main theme will highlight the important work of Flight Test & Evaluation in modern aviation, looking back at 100 years of British military test flying. We hope to display specialised, modified and instrumented test flight aircraft from organisations from around the world dedicated to Flight Test, Evaluation and Scientific Research.”
The event’s webpage says: “Our summer evening air show theme returns for another year of exciting displays, family friendly fun, and the guaranteed relaxed atmosphere only found at the Old Warden Aerodrome. Witness The Collection aircraft and exciting visitors take the skies…”.
The event website states: “F-AIR Colombia has become one of the most important events in the civil aviation and defense industry, in addition to being a fundamental engine in the reactivation of the aerospace sector by offering activities such as: academic agenda, trade show, business conferences, aircraft exhibition, networking and air shows.”
The organiser’s describe this event as: “Southern Africaâs premier event for the General Aviation industry that covers the full spectrum of services and products for the sector, is the platform to showcase the best that the General Aviation sector has to offer.”
The event webpage says it will be: “showcasing outstanding and iconic military aircraft which have shaped the course of aviation history.”
US military air show
The airshow website says: “Over two days, some of the best pilots and flying display in the world use the natural amphitheatre of Swansea Bay to show their stuff, pulling off incredible aerial acrobatics. From jets to helicopters, itâs two days of the year not to be missed. And even better â itâs free!”
The organiser’s webpage says: “The event will showcase a spectacular display of classic aircraft, super and classic cars, and motorcycles. In a change to the event this year, visitors will see aircraft flying into and out of the airfield throughout the day weather permitting.”
The event website states: “The Battle of Britain Airshow on the 30th June – 2nd July 2023 will be a celebration of the Battle of Britain at Headcorn Aerodrome with spectacular flying displays featuring aircraft from the era. Fighters, bombers, transport and training aircraft will share the Kent skies (both allied and axis).”
