I listened to this broadcast on Coast to Coast radio a few weeks back. It features the author Keith Chester and his book Strange Company which appears to be a reasonably authorative account of wartime encounters with Foo Fighters by fliers on all sides.

Surprisingly, quite a few of the accounts he rates most highly were by crews of RAF Bomber Command.

There appears to be no evidence whatsoever that the Foo Fighters were secret German technology. What they are (or were) however is a matter of conjecture.

Thanks for the info Air Ministry, I shall enjoy watching these. According to the book “The Hunt For Zero Point” by Nick Cook, he seemed to be of the opinion that these were indeed of German origin. Curious.
