These scrapping sites on the RAF ASUs (as opposed to scrap yards) were surprisingly well cleared up by the processors/scrappies, possibly more than we give them credit for.
Small parts do still sometimes surface, but they are usually small metal and bakelite componants, and broken bits of plexiglas, rubber etc.
It seems that on the aircraft processing area itself that a hole was dug so that all the small scattered parts in the field could be bulldozed into it and then backfilled.

I have a very small bit of Albermarle myself from another ASU, the best thing about it is that it has the original interior green and external black finish in undamaged condition, ideal for paint matching for models etc.
