We have artifacts commemorating 94 years of an active airfield which includes first, second world war and cold war activity of the RAF. As a side note, it may be worth noting that the first International Air Tattoo and the first aerial filming was held at North Weald, both which are mentioned and displayed in the museum.

We are also adjacent to an active former Battle of Britain airfield which houses many historic aircraft, including those from Kennet Aviation and Hangar 11 collection, to name but a couple.

The museum itself is the station office which includes the office used by Douglas Bader during his time as officer commanding, and by the RAF until the station closed, it was also used by the ATC until NWAMA took over when the ATC left.

The museum itself is a house of memories to the personnel from North Weald and the civilians in the surrounding district.
