The reason I asked was that a Dewoitine 501 was programmed to appear at the Couhe-Verac meeting aerien a fortnight ago. Sadly it didn’t appear.

Only today have I discovered why the Alexandre D501 did not appear at Couhe-Verac. En route there from Montargis, on 17 July, Gilles Alexandre had to make a forced landing near Romorantin. The aeroplane overturned on touching down and, sadly, the pilot was killed instantly.
