I have read the extreme aft fuselage was bought by Honeywell and moved to their Phoenix site to serve as a test stand/mockup fixture for future 737 series APUs.

It should be remembered that in Hawaii, those aircraft (along with Hawaiian DC-9s/717s) are literally inter-island busses doing several pressurization cycles daily in a very corrosive environment.
