It looks like Spitfire TB382 “The last Spitfire to be broken up” has a positive future of being saved itself. Flypast Magazine “January 2018” spoke to Darren Harbar from Airframe Assemblies on the Isle of Wight and they said that when time allows, they will restore what’s left of the airframe (it is missing its tail, control surfaces, engine bearers and the engine).
