Dusting off an old Air Britain publication from 1973 😮
Looks like they had Warwick I, III’s 1943/44 and Dakota III, IV 1944/46
Formed at WZ 02/09/1943 as a transport unit. Flew regularly to Gibraltar with the Warwick’s until April 1944, when they converted to Dakota’s.
Looks like it was then runs into Europe post D-Day and then into the Middle East.
Squadron was renumbered to 238 Sqn 01/12/1946

Squadron code was apparently ‘8P’
From the Putnams ‘ Vickers Aircraft’ the following on the Warwicks is given.:
525 Sqn was the recipient of some the ex BOAC civilianised C mkI’s these were in the serial range BV243-256 (formerly G-AGEX – G-AGFK inclusive)
They also received the following C mkIII’s HG219, 220, 223, 224, 226 -233
