Flanker_man, thank you for the link, I had actually seen it but I did not enter because the web-page has seemingly a trojan so you’d better not enter it unless you have a good anti-virus.. I had a look at it and indeed there there was the email. I just sent them an email, hopefully they can and are willing to help me, it is probably really the last and best step to do, to get in contact with the ones who restored the plane.
BTW, why wasn’t the flight demonstration entertaining? Thats a real pity. I had seen the other one restored by Rusavia but I didn’t know it had not flown yet, hopefully the maiden turns out well. The reason I thought the camouflage style Mig-3 was restored by them too is because it has really about the same colorscheme and presumably the same colours as the I-15bis, but I don’t know it for sure.

JDK, well as I drew the plans (some 300-400 h on it!) I based myself on the very nice 3 views from airwar.ru and there are as close to the real vintage one as one can imagine, however as you can imagine reference pictures and drawings from that time are scarce and rather poor, so it’s of great help being able to have a look at a restored one which is (presumably) like the real one or at least as close as possible ;). I have seen that there are some minor changes in the instrument panel but not much more, I will stick to the original 3 views however.
