I don’t know what the regular headings in/out of East Mids are but another one which has a motorsport theme these days is the former airfield at Darley Moor (formerly the satelit of RAF Ashbourne, housing detachments of 42 OTU), Derbyshire. It’s NNE of Derby, just at the southern tip of the Peak District NP. Its outlines are still distinct from the air at about 1000 feet.
