On the subject of the Y2K Spit, thought some of you might be interested in these photos of TE294 being off loaded from it container after arriving in Vancouver from South Africa.

When the Spit bits arrived in Canada (Montreal), Customs “inspected” the container by extracting all of its contents and then repacking it again. The only thing not taken out was the Merlin since it was to heavy. When they repacked it, everything was basically thrown back in the container causing damage to some parts. Then they had the nerve to charge us $700 for this service!

After that, 11 more boxes of parts arrived which I picked up at the airport and was happy to see that Customs just waved them through.

Unpacking the parts I was like a kid in a candy store, never had so much fun!
