(1) Prestwick,which was the main transatlantic airfield in WW2.
(2)Abbotsinch(Glasgow Airport) I know officially it was RN but did the US ever use as overspill /diversion ?, the horizon looks possible from memory.
(3)Macrihanish …. does have high ground close by ,used as diversion airfield?
any port in a storm!!?
Also what about Renfrew Airport … once again possible diversion?did it have hard runways during WW2, it may have similar horizon to Abbotsinch
