If Kilos are hiding close to shore they would have the support of land based anti ship missile batteries and air defence.I do not think that US Navy ships would wander too close to Iran’s shore and especially the submarine warfare Orion’s at low altitude.

More than likely any Iranian Kilo out to sea at this moment is already being closely tracked by Western Forces. I wouldn’t doubt that Iran will keep them in port until the crisis passes. 😮
