Yes agreed but my original point was that I had only done approx 25 miles since the alleged service and the oil was already very black and ‘old’ looking,I would not have batted an eyelid with an older diesel since they dirtied up v quickly.

BTW have now done 1000 miles and the oil is only very slightly discoloured
