I have a couple of friends who are continually banging on about how good HDTV is. Now, I personally cannot tell the difference!

There’s a lot to be said for hi-def television, a format that’s been in development since the early 1970’s but kept quiet because too many people couldn’t tell the difference. The fact of the matter is that you get used to it very quickly, and a bit like the differences between VHS and DVD quality, you only tend to realise the benefits when you look back at the older formats after a while…
