Don’t kid yourselves, it happens all over the world. I have discovered a new disease, “One-day malaria”. I am going to present my findings to the WHO. After conducting a small epidemiological study within my company, there appears to be a disease that has all the symptoms of malaria, which strikes on any day that bridges a bank holiday and a weekend, sometimes on a Friday as well. The disease, which affects only the local population, is debilitating enough to justify not coming to work, starts in the morning and mysteriously clears up at nightfall the same day.
