I could understand Rumsfeld distress about it. But the US administration, has been trying to make this trying not to upset the arab world too much. So these words would be OK in other situation, but now doesn´t help. I have never understood why the Iranians are soo naughty for the US (appart from humilliating then in the seventies). They are integrist….less than Saudi Arabia, women are opressed less than Saudi Arabia where they can´t drive or work for instance, they are starting to see hints of slight democratic hints, not Saudia Arabia, don´t support international terrorism as much as Saudi Arabia. Let´t think that no Alqaeda in Iran, only regional terrorist support (Yihad, Hamas), not like Saudi Arabia. I don´t understand. Syria…..a country which is making huge effords in entering in the let´s say “civilized world”, with Assad son softening the regime and being cautious in many aspects……why should we get the fruit before being riped?….I understand North Korea in the axis and probably Iraq…..but these two countries?. Iran is eager to negociate with the US, wants to be regular country, why this stance?.
