I remember a large bunch of ‘respectable’ people who decided to torch a paediatrician out of house and home because they were utterly ignorant of the difference between a doctor specialising in childrens diseases and a kiddy-fiddler. I remember several families being forced out of a housing estate – one because the father had been wrongly named in the Sunday ‘news’ paper as being a convicted paedophile, and the others because they tried to convince the mob that this man was innocent.
That is what ‘respectable’ people do. And in a perfect world those ‘guilty’ people would be gunned down by the civil militia – sorry, police – and order restored for the other respectable people (i.e. the ones who didn’t form lynch mobs and fire bomb houses, etc).
