I was under the impression that NATO got the U.S. involved. Remember, the U.S. president at the time was the liberal Mr. Clinton…and he can’t be viewed the same way Europe views Mr. Bush…no ties to the oil industry.
Liberals in America and Europe have been complaing that the U.S. waited too long to enter the conflict. The conservatives complain U.S. forces are still there.

Repeat after me…when in doubt …Blame America.

Actually that’s right. NATO was urged to to interfere in Ex-Yougoslavia and therefore only the US had the potential and enough ressources to do so.

This showed the need for EU to create a specific EU force. So far nothing new , they still talk , talk , talk….
