Having done a little bit of ebaying I found a kit of a 1/72 chesapeake or vindicator if your American. I just missed out on it because my internet slowed right up and didnt reveal the confirm bid button until after the auction ended. It was a Pegasus kit with etched and white metal parts. Looked ok for a 1/72 kit.
I have since found an accurate minatures kit and another kit from MPM I thing it was. All of the above look better than the vac formed kit I have. Well at least easier to build anyhow. Another kit I have just found is from a company called Special Hobby.
I think I will try and get my hands on the Azur kit for my main kit but still going to go ahead with the 1/72 kit to practice a little on.
I am not the best kit maker and the next few models will be my first real attempts at a good accurateish kit build.
I have a 1/72 scale hunter which I aim to start in the next month or so. I guess the Revell 1/32 spitfire I/II will be next and then when I aquire the Chesapeake I will give it a bash.
I have never been that strict with my colours or roundel positions before only just painting the model so it looked good.
Now comes a new challenge.
