Bit late with a comment now but better ………
Exposure is always a problem. Correct exposure is a matter of opinion to a large extent and, in my view, also dependant on what you are trying to illustrate in the picture, assuming it is not purely artistic.
On the basis of if they were taken by me I would probably feel that the tri plane is under.
Sally a bit more difficult as more effected by the back light. I would probably try to lighten it a bit but suspect would return to as is.
The Hurricane whilst I see why you might consider over I would be very tempted to leave as is. Assuming the plane to be the object of attention the detail shown in this exposure does it for me, possibly just a tad down otherwise.
Not much help really but then beauty is in the eye of the beholder and very subjective and you are sure to get critism what ever you do.:D
