Flew on a WN service about 4 years ago from Oakland to Phoenix. Obviously most of the passengers were leisure travellers and the crew really pilled on the humour.

“This is your captain speaking. We’re now in the cruise and about to fly over the Edwards Air Force Base [where the space shuttle had very recently landed]. If I bank the plane those on the right hand side of the aircraft will have a nice view of the airfield, and those on the left hand side of the aircraft have a great view of all the passengers on the right hand side looking out of the window!!”
