Then begs the question, why dont SIA use the 773ER on direct routes to LAX and SFO instead of the 744 through Narita?
Are they taking so many passengers in Tokyo that the direct route isn’t worth it as yet?
Having been on the flight (Singapore-LAX) over a dozen times i can tell you that the load factors are great , and with the added Floor space of the 744 goes well with SQ’s products . They do also pick up pax from japan and sometimes i have seen load factors increase by quite a bit from the leg between japan and the US . Narita – LAX is also a popular pairing .
