from a general point of view, i have been through Rodo’s 3 times now,
arrives is as you would expect… a walk from the plane to the cistoms or a 1 minute bus ride…
Customs are pretty much standard.. takes about 5 minutes or so..
Then the arrival belts, 2 / 3 in total.. – pretty much ok depending how many flights are in… noramally 2 flights at the same time,, uk based,, MAN or LGW.. flights are Sat or Wed, (unless any changes for 2007)
a simple process.. collect and out of the door..
Departures…
Can be a bit of a mess with the check in desks depending on outbound flight time.. ( the 4am ish) is always busy..
never had to queue outside.. enough room inside with the aircon..
once through customs… – long corridoor style D/lounge… Duty free is a decent size.. few little shops selling ok sandwiches.. small bar.. —
One tip… on the inbound. if you arrive in the D/lounge and its busy.. as you walk through and out of customs.. turn right.. walk to the far end and theres a door saying Gate X… walk through here turning left and theres a big section of seating which is always empty…
People dont go down there as they think its to a gate, but in fact you have to go past here for the final security check.
I have been layed out there a few times and i have heard people saying… look at all the space here.. i wish i knew!!! (as most people have been sat on the floor on the other areas!!)
next time you are there.. give it a go..
