Steady on there ….. Let’s not get too carried away about this. It’s just a master plan in accordance with the wishes contained in the Government’s White Paper. It contains nothing to get excited about in the short term – just sound strategic thinking and planning. Even mid-term (2015), talk of rebuilding the terminal is 9 years away, and anything can happen in that timeframe. Let’s not forget that talk of a business park, as well as a maintenance centre, and free trade zone, have been on the go for many many years, with not a lot to be seen anywhere. And what happened to T2 mentioned a while back?

Let’s just see what happens. Better to plan and grow sensibly, than expect (and do) too much too quick too soon. Nevertheless, good luck to all concerned, and let’s hope the plans all come to fruition.
