You tried panning shots? I find that a well executed photo at 1/30th is a whole lot more interesting and challenging that a well executed photo at 1/300th.

I am a great fan of panning shots, with my new lense (Sigme 70-200 2.8 EX HSM) it requires a bit more practise for really good results but with my old lense (Sigma 70-300 4.5-5.6 APO) I routinely hit 1/60th.

When are you going to AMS?

My local airport needs the right conditions for panning shots, although I’ve taken a few over the years and agree its a skill that needs practice, will be visiting AMS on 10th August for about 12 hours, just hope it doesnt rain
