We got some additional info pouring in from Karl Kjarsgaard – Director – Bomber Command Museum of Canada, who is an expert on Halifax bombers and some other persons are willing to help too. It appears that collective efforts will result in a full profile of the said aircraft crash, which will of course be shared publicly, as a tribute to the lost airmen.
We have also received info that apart from the crew, there were 5 army personnel on that aircraft and the total number of persons killed was 13. This adds to the mystery on the exact specifics of the operation, as RAF 624 sq. was involved in many behind enemy lines special ops in occupied Europe.
The search continues and thank you all for your feedback so far!
