Many thanks for the information, the leg has been donated to the Lashenden Air Warfare Museum at Headcorn Kent. It was recovered sometime ago by fishermen off of Dungeness & has been lying in a garden for some time. Only 1 Me410 came down in the area off of Dungeness this being :-

Messerschmitt Me 410A-1, W/nr. 10185 U5+KG of 16/KG2 This aircraft was shot down by Lieutenant T Weisteen and Flying Officer F.G. French in a Mosquito XII of 85 squadron. The aircraft crashed in to the sea off Dungeness at 10.23pm. The crew of Fw. G. Slotczyg missing and Uffz. F. Westrich killed, his body was found 11 miles off Dungeness on the 13th October and buried at sea.

The leg will now cleaned & conserved for display in the museum.
