Very good news.
How well did it come apart for the journey Ewan?
Rob
Hey Rob
All went perfectly until the wing pins. Pretty notorious by the sounds of it, but the first one was ok. Then we ended up breaking every single one of our pullers we had brought for the journey, so after much deliberation between ourselves and talking with the guy in charge on base we made the decision to get the fire recuse unit in to help us cut the spar. We were gutted by this, but had no choice. Ultimately it means a little bit more work at our end when we re assemble the wings etc, but no one visiting would notice the difference anyway. Sometimes you have to make hard choices and when there is a five hour drive each way and time restraints to have the aircraft off base, we simply have to do what we can to get the aircraft home
Cheers
