I just thought I’d bump this thread back up again in case any more identifications are forthcoming. A number of the bits have moved on but a few are still defying recognition.

I’ve been looking at item 18 again and have done a bit of a clean up which has revealed some useful info. It appears the casting was made by Birmingham Alloys Casting Co. “BIRMAL” and the part number appears to be a Hobson one. I’ve taken a couple of extra photos in case they help pin it down.

Meanwhile, here’s one item that definitely won’t be in the garage much longer. It came from a yard which contained mostly aircraft scrap and when I first saw it I thought it might be part of an electrically powered gun turret. I always felt the small and badly corroded plate would contain some info and I’ve finally got around to cleaning it as gently as I can. Enough detail came out to enable me to google for it and the very first return led me to this:-

It’s apparently from a Scammell lorry and a new one will set you back £65. Don’t think I’ll bother taking this one to Beaulieu!

Thanks for all the useful suggestions.
