Hi John
Well, the Auster has come a long way since you saw her. I have tracked down a lot of her history and prev pilots and engineers now. Progress is of course visually taking a long time but there is always a lot happening. I am going to a lot of pains to have her in her factory original T.7 configuration which is challenging to say the least, but I am getting there. I have set up a facebook page for her if you are interested on following along with her progress. My engineers reckon I will have to fly her in my socks as she is looking too pretty…Lol. Anyway here is the link if you (or anyone else for that matter) is interested. https://www.facebook.com/Austerwe552/
I am now the NZ rep for the IAC which is a lot of fun and that can keep me quite busy from time to time now.
Yes John, I pop up on BM and LSP from time to time, but dont get a lot of modelling done anymore unfortunately. I will see what I might have, but I mostly have drawings related to the AOP6/T.7. Funny thing I learnt that the 6&7 has slightly more dihedral than earlier Austers with the struts being about 1/2inch longer.
Glad to hear you are well and dont forget to look me up again if you are over
Cheers
Anthony
