I was thinking too, another I haven’t seen in a while (and missed in my listing), is Fred Murrin’s reproduction, which is another very authentic/accurate reproduction, fitted with a LeRhone rotary engine. It has been, or at least used to be, a regular flying participant at the annual USAF Museum WWI Dawn Patrol event held in Dayton. In 2005 it was sent to and displayed/flown in Australia. Despite having a number of photos of the aircraft, including in-flight, I’ve never seen an N-number on it. Fred has been working on building a very accurate reproduction of a Fokker D.VII for Kermit Weeks, which is being fitted with an original Benz engine, overhauled by TVAL.
There is also the very authentic/accurate airworthy reproduction that is part of the incredible Javier Arango WWI collection in California, which is powered by a rotary (likely a LeRhone), N1858S.
A couple others I missed initially are Chris Hill’s N23917, based in Texas (completed in 2012, built by James Bruton – painted in a custom black & white striped scheme), and Ed Borkoski’s N213FK, based in Waterbury, Connecticut (painted in the well known Fritz Kempf paint scheme).
