Slightly yes, but it is being mentioned as a development of the Curtiss engine, not the RR Condor. Rolls had been making 60 degree V engines for some time before Curtiss and while there may have been developments that found their way into Rolls’s designs, to say all were direct copies of the D-12 is a big leap and the Griffon was definitely NOT.
